Hi! I’m Lara.

Glad to see you here.

I was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. Raised in New York City.

For the longest time, I wore anonymity like a warm blanket you would never take off in a cold room.

Posting aspects of my life, the deconditioning journey, healing process, and anything happening during my travels through South America and beyond feels bigger than I can fully explain.

And I’m doing it anyway.

I don’t pretend to know everything because I don’t. Still learning and evolving every day. Sometimes impatiently but working on that.

Finally gave myself permission to be the person who was repressed for decades.

I have an incessantly curious mind about all sorts of things that don’t fit neatly into a box.

Here I will post travel stories, life lessons, moments of significant growth, and what is possible when you make the conscious choice that now is the time to take that leap of faith and jump.

It will not be tied up in a nice little bow because that’s ridiculous. Life is messy as f*ck.

If you find yourself asking the deeper questions about life, I may cover some of that too. And anything related to living an unconventional life while I am still willing and able to do so.

I might have been a writer in a past life. In this one I’m playing catch-up. Just someone pushing beyond what has been comfortable, choosing a different path and sharing it.

What you have to say as the reader is important. If you have any comments or questions about anything, reach out. The door is open.

Thank you for joining me. It’ll be one hell of a ride. But no promises. 😉
